Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actor and performer whose performance versatility earned her praise across a range of genres from period drama to thrillers and action. Johansson was raised living in New York City as the daughter an architect and the owner of a production company. Hunter, her twin brother and She were all the smallest of four children. At the age of seven year old, she started making auditions for TV commercials. She became interested in acting quickly and she enrolled immediately at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. When she was eight years old, Johansson starred alongside Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in Off-Broadway productions. At the age of nine, she debuted in Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson played the lead role as a character in Just Cause (1995), prior to her breakthrough in the film Manny & Lo - a story about two sisters, orphans who escape. For The Horse Whisperer, Johansson played a teenage victim of an horrific crash. In Ghost World, her role Ghost World brought her more recognition as the troubled teenager Rebecca. Smith was offered her first gig acting at the age of age six thanks to her parents. On a TV commercial Smith starred as Dannon Yogurt. The same as other newbie actresses, she honed her skills on the stage. While working on different projects in the USA she made her stage debut with Wildflower. She was a student at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
